Rice Law Firm is pleased to announce that Partner Philip J. Bonamo has been selected as the representative to the Florida Bar’s Board of Governors for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Mr. Bonamo’s two-year term will begin June 2020. The Seventh Judicial Circuit is comprised of Volusia, Flagler, St. John’s, and Putnam counties The Board of Governors is the governing body of The Florida Bar, with exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the state bar. The Florida Bar is also an arm of the Florida Supreme Court charged with lawyer regulation and other professional activities. The Board of Governor’s is composed of Representatives elected by members of the Bar from each of the state’s 20 judicial circuits. The Florida Bar has a total of 88,393 lawyer members eligible to practice law in Florida.
