Rice & Rose Law Firm partner Paul Rice (pictured here) presented a topic on Ethics and Professionalism for Family Law Practitioners to a group of over 50 lawyers on June 17, 2011. In addition to being one of the four speakers, Rice, as chair of the Volusia County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, organized and moderated the annual seminar. The other topics at the seminar included (1) recent changes in the laws regarding alimony and child support, (2) ramifications of a new Florida Supreme Court ruling regarding equitable distribution of the marital home in divorce proceedings and (3) recent developments in the law governing parental relocation of minor children. Mr. Rice is seen in the photo below with fellow presenter, Norman Levin, Esquire, of Longwood, Florida. Mr. Levin brought the group current on recent and pending changes in alimony and child support utilizing one of his many Floridom, Inc. software applications.
