Partner Philip J. Bonamo, Esquire was recently recertified by the Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization & Education as a specialist in Criminal Trial Law.
Mr. Bonamo, who has been an attorney for 22 years, has been a Board Certified Attorney for over 15 years, and is one of only 424 attorneys in the state of Florida that is Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law. The initial certification process consists of a rigorous review by the Board of the attorney’s professional background/reputation, number of years of courtroom and trial experience, as well as passing a certification examination.
The recertification process occurs every 5 years by the Board, and the attorney must showed continued proficiency in the certified area of law, continued performance of trials, subject to peer review, and must maintain continued legal education requirements.
